Interview with Blossom (Y5K student), Chency (Y5k student) and Mabel (Y5S student)
Blossom:
Blossom is a student from Sweden, learning online currently.
She has no pet to play with during online learning, however she does have a little brother named Linden. She does online learning in her bedroom, and to her, online learning isn’t too much of a struggle. Blossom does wish she could go back to school, because everything will be even easier and her friends will be there. She is also confident to work independently.
Mabel:
Mabel is a student living in Malaysia, currently doing online learning.
She has two dogs and more to play with. She thinks that online learning is actually good because it trains her to be independent. She has a sister and two brothers and she wishes to go back to school to see her friends. Sometimes it’s easy to do her work and she’s fine with working independently.
Chency:
Chency is a student from China who is learning online. She is the only child in the family.
Chency has a cat. She mostly does her work on the dining table in the house. She is generally confident in online learning and working independently, but she still finds it hard when it comes to losing connection to the internet. She does want to go back to school. Also she feels that life is easier in school.
1. Do you have any pets to play with during online learning?
Mabel: I have two dogs to play with during online learning.
Blossom: No, I don’t have any pets.
Chency: Yes, I have my cat.
2. Do you have a certain room to do your online learning in?
Mabel: Yes, I do my online learning in the kid’s room.
Blossom: Yes, I do my online learning in my bedroom.
Chency: Yes, I’m mostly in the kitchen on the dining room table.
3. How do you feel about doing online learning?
Mabel: I feel kinda good about online learning because we can be independent.
Blossom: It’s ok sometimes, and sometimes it gets really bad.
Chency: I feel confident, but sometimes it gets complicated when you lose connection and keep dropping out.
4. Do you have any siblings to irritate you while you’re in a class?
Mabel: In fact I do have a sister.
Blossom: Yes I do, I have a brother.
Chency: No, I don’t have any siblings. I am an only child.
5. Do you wish you could go back to doing physical school?
Blossom: Yes, I do wish I could go back to school and see my friends.
Chency: Yes, I wish I could go back to school, as everything will be easier and I can see my friends in person.
6. Is it easy to open your work and be able to do it independently?
Blossom: Only sometimes it’s easy to open my work and do it independently.
Chency: Yes, it’s pretty easy to open my work.
7. How do you feel about having to work by yourself?
Blossom: It’s not bad, I’m fine with it.
Chency: I’m quite confident about having to work by myself.
